In collaboration with the Queen of Hardhouse herself Lisa Pin-up, Contagious will be pushing the boundaries once more with outfits not only for their usual audience of female clubbers but a number of creations exclusively for the boys too.

I caught up with Contagious owner and chief designer Claire Contagious to find out a little background on this exciting new annoucement, and to see what Contagious have in store for us at the Launch night of the "God Save The Queen" Tour at Heaven this Friday.

Claire, a lot of the talk around this event has been about the news of your exciting range of Pin-up Punk Clubwear can you tell us how it all came about?

We have been responsible for the production of a number of events that Lisa has been involved with over the past 12 months, and Lisa approached us about doing something different for her forthcoming "God Save The Queen" tour.
Being an ex-model Lisa has always had a passion for clothes, and we talked about what a great idea it would be to come up with something that we could give back to the clubbers who have supported her over the years in the form of a sexy new range of outfits.
As the tour has a Punk Rock theme Lisa thought it would be really fitting if we came up with something that had a Punk Rock Flavour and we set about working together on some designs.

So Lisa collaborated closely with you on this project, how much did she influence the final designs and what was she like to work with?

All I can say, is Lisa is a lady who very much knows what she likes to see on clubbers, and the majority of the influence for how the outfits finally turned out came directly from her, I was then responsible for turning her vision into a reality.
As anyone who has been involved with her will tell you, Lisa is a fantastic person to work with she is full of enthusiasm and drive and she has been a big inspiration to me.

So what have you got in store for us at the launch night?

We are planning a spectacular fashion show to launch the range to the public, and will be introducing the Pin-up Punk Models who will be showing off the outfits in all their glory.
We are also supporting Lisa on stage with the Contagious Dance Crew who have been working very hard on new routines especially for the night.
We will also be mingling with the clubbers on the night giving away free gifts including a few surprises.

We have seen the Contagious brand associated with quite a few big nights over the past year or so, not to mention your fantastic appearance at Global Gathering last year, so what have you got in store for us in the coming months?

Well firstly, we will be supporting Lisa on most of her "God Save The Queen" Tour Dates, and the Summer see's us not only returning to Global Gathering with our Sound Stage but will also see our debut at Wales's Biggest Dance Festival Escape Into The Park, and we are most fortunate to have Lisa headlining for us at both events.
You will also be able to catch up with us next month at Godskitchen Sound Clash at the Newcastle Arena as well as at Goodgriefs Big Beef in Leeds.
