She’s queen of the scene, belle of the ball and all round clubbers’ favourite. Lisa Pin-Up has been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and probably made it look better than most behind the decks ;) She’s been one of the biggest inspirations to both boys and girls on the hard house circuit and is renowned for her friendly, attitude free personality as much as for her trademark filthy bounce.
Friday November 16th sees Lisa head a mammoth line-up at London super club Heaven for Extreme Euphoria vs Hardcore Euphoria. The night is already looking like an immense sell-out occasion and is the prime date on the calendar for practically every hard-loving clubber worth their salt. Joined by the likes of Nick Sentience, Technikal, Cally Gage, Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter, the Geos Crew and many more, Early Bird tickets sold out weeks ago with advance tickets flying off the shelves as we speak. In short, party people, it’s going to be a mother of a party and you want to get your sweet asses there.
To whet your appetite and get you in the mood, we caught up with Lisa to find out what she’s been up to lately…

Alright Lisa ;) What have you been up to over the last few months?
Been a very busy bee as always :) Been jetting about over the summer, playing tons of festivals, mixed a couple of albums as well as touring the country with my God Save The Queen tour!
You’re playing at Extreme Euphoria vs Hardcore Euphoria at Heaven on Friday November 16th. When you get on that main stage with all the lights, the lasers, the massive sound system and you look out at a sea of over a thousand faces, all with their hands in the air for you, how does that make you feel?
I actually kicked my God Save The Queen tour off at this venue for Extreme Euphoria and it was just one of the best nights of my life! It was so good I couldn’t take it all in, totally amazing, as you said the sound system, the lights and the most fantastic clubbers so really can’t wait to come back down for another top night.
Friday night is traditionally a quieter night than Saturdays but if ticket sales keep going the way they are, Extreme Euphoria vs Hardcore Euphoria is going to be a sell-out. Why do you think the Euphoria brand has such a massive fan base?
Because the clubbers know exactly what they will get, a fantastic brand putting on the most wonderful production all together with good music and a great atmosphere.

The Extreme side is going head to head with the Hardcore crew – who do you think will win?
It’s surprising how many clubbers like both kinds of music so sure people will be enjoying both styles. I even like a bit of hardcore myself, but can only dance to it for about halve hour though as get a terrible stitch! Think I jump up and down a bit to fast to it, need someone to show me the proper hardcore dance ;)
Have you ever shouted “Oi oi!”?
Of course, I come from London don't I! I think the last time was when playing my last tune at Tranzmission at Alexandra palace!
Out of all the parties that you play at, which one do you look forward to the most and why?
That is really putting me on the spot as I just play so many good gigs! Don't know if I am imagining it but they seem to be getter better and better lately! I don't think I could ever top DJing at my God Save The Queen tour nights at some of the best venues across the country, my best clubbing memories ever! I just came back from the Tidy Weekender which blew me away, got an exclusive set at Storm N.Y.E which will be great fun but really there are just too many to mention as enjoy loads of clubs that I spin at.

We know you play all across the UK but what other countries are hotbeds for hard house?
Hard dance I must admit is not big around the world (apart from countries that have Brits on their hols!) so I do take softer tracks with me when I go abroad which is fun sometimes to play but I can't wait to get back home to bosh the tunes out as that is the true music that I love.
If there was one country that you could play and break into that you haven’t already, which one would it be and why?
I don't care where I play really as long as it has an up for it crowd, the only thing I am not to keen on is long flights, but being a dj I should learn to get over that!
What’s the most extreme country that you’ve ever played in?
Nothing so far has been extreme for me, loved every country that I have been to.
Are British clubbers the most hardcore, or is there any other country that puts our party antics to shame?
Over in the UK they know how to party the most as well as the Irish – the great thing about Scottish and Irish clubbers is when they are really enjoying themselves they all chant along together on the dance floor which is quite nuts, "Here we, here we, here we fucking go!"

You are, without a doubt, one of the queens of hard house. Do you have any plans to abdicate the throne? How long do you want to keep going for?
Well no plans as yet to jack it all in, just having far too much fun!
When you’re at home, what kind of music do you play and listen to?
I never listen to music at home to relax, more into my television, but tell I a lie I do listen to music when on my exercise bike every morning but it’s just background music and I pop any old kind of music station on.
How many promos do you receive on a normal day?
Loads and loads, it’s so hard to keep up with them all!
What do you get up to on a normal day? Are you constantly playing and producing or are you generally a lady of leisure, sipping cups of tea and watching Loose Women?
The day just goes so quickly, I cant seem to fit everyone thing in that I want to. Most nights I am up late and don't go to bed until 2am doing stuff. I am on my computer editing tunes for my sets (great thing about playing off CDs you can change tracks to your preference), updating web sites, replying to clubbers that contact me through web sites and just answering emails to do with my job as I suppose I am my own personal PA. I’ve even been known to do the odd interview to promote a fabulous club I am playing at! ;)

Everybody knows that you hang around after ever set as much as you can to hang out with fans and clubbers. Why do you make such an effort?
It’s not an effort, everyone needs friends and these clubbers have become my friends. I don't get much time to go out during the week so just love being in the clubs at the weekend and when you see the same clubbers at events it’s nice to catch up and have a gossip.
If we see you at the bar, what drink can we get you?
None, at that stage I have most probably already had far too much!
Thank you very much Lisa, see you on the dance floor ;)
